ANCIENT TEMPLE AT PALPARA
Today I would like to upload the images of the much talked about ancient Palpara temple. This temple was included in the List of Ancient Monuments in Bengal(1896).It is believed to be more than 500 years old and is now being maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.
The length of this south-facing temple is 26 feet 8 inches, breadth 21 feet and height almost 40 feet.
It has a dome-shaped roof and terracotta works. One can notice the scenes of the war from the Ramayana –at the entrance.
