VISIT TO OOTY

I owe an apology to my readers-more particularly to those who tried to visit this blog but were frustrated for not having seen any new post for quite some time.Anyway, better late than never.
On 18.04.08. I and she (The second pronoun refers to my wife)went to Bangalore.
Two of my followers were present at the new airport to receive us.After exchanging some pleasantries they hired a cab.we headed straight to IISc campus where a room was booked in advance for two of us .What a coincidence! It was the same room where we stayed during ourlast visit. There has not been any change in the room during this one year.
On enquiry from the caretaker I came to know that the member of the staff of the guesthouse, with whom I developed some intimacy last time and who was a local people breathed his last due to cancer.I still remember his stout physique.May his soul rest in peace.

Three more followers came to see us.It was really nice to meet those bright boys and girls.
On 20.04.2008,we went to attend a colloquium of one of my follower. The conference room was full to the capacity. Some people were found standing. It took little over an hour to complete the presentation and question answer session.

Now that the main purpose of our visit to Bangalore was over,we took the opportunity to visit Ooty which attracts visitors during all seasons and has built up a fame as the `all-seasons -hill resort’ as well as the `queen of hill ations. It is one of the most popular hill resorts in southern India at an elevation of

7216 ft.It was used to be popular summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days.We stayed there for two days.

Some snaps that we took there are posted here.
